Gerson Berrio is a graphic designer based in Charlotte. He was born and raised in Lima, Peru and is a practicing and devout Catholic who relied on his faith as a source of strength through the pandemic. Since migrating to the United States in 2006, he has become a dynamic leader in his community, relying on hard work and the unflagging support of his family.
Gerson pursued his education here, graduating in 2021 from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, specializing in Graphic Design and a Minor in Art History. While at UNCC, Gerson juggled the unexpected transitions imposed by COVID. From housing struggles to staying connected to his peers, Gerson had to adapt. He co-founded the Latinx student Union at UNCC and joined the prestigious Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity which focused on community service.
Currently, Gerson works as a marketing lead for Swiss Diamond, where he manages their social and email campaigns as well as doing design work. Gerson was recently married in December of 2023 to his lovely bride, Karla.
