Carla Bañez

Carla Dayana Bañez Cordero is a Venezuelan native who immigrated to the United States during the pandemic. Raised in a close-knit family grounded in simplicity and strong values, she is the oldest of four siblings. She graduated with a degree in Integral Education from the National Experimental Llanos Occidentales Ezequiel Zamora University, a profession she practiced for over 12 years in Venezuela.

Faced with the challenging political and social climate in Venezuela, she took a courageous step, relocating to Charlotte in August 2021 to reunite with her husband and children amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, having resided in Charlotte for over two years, Carla has transitioned professionally to floral arrangements and aspires to establish her own business in this field, highlighting her resilience and entrepreneurial spirit.

“It was worth the sacrifice to get here and the sacrifice I am making to be away, to be away from my family. Seeing them happy is worth it. It’s worth it.”
